It is important to understand how the new technologies will influence the sustainable growth of the business and how that can assist us in socio-economic development around the world. Thus, the aim of the proposed discussion will be to identify the impact of the transition from traditional to new technologies and the positive and negative impact of such advancements on business and its stakeholders. The objective of discussion panel will be to identify widely used technologies and to examine if these technologies are helping the business entities to make more informed timely decisions, which ultimately result in sustainable growth of businesses leading to socio-economic development. The interdisciplinary discussion panel and its outcomes will provide timely and significant input to the academic literature related to accounting, finance, investment, banking, innovation, strategic management, sustainable entrepreneurship, economic development and other disciplines. In addition, the panel will contribute to the public debate related to challenges in the same area.

Panel Title : Big Data and sustainable growth of business

Much has been written and claimed about the future of machine learning and artificial intelligence by the press and in particular, by the business community. However, there is little evidence on the detail of its impact on governance and sustainability of business entities. It is important to understand how the big data will influence the sustainable growth of the business and how that can assist us in socioeconomic development around the world. Thus, the aim of the proposed interdisciplinary panel is to identify the impact of the transition from classical to big data approach on business and its stakeholders. The objective of the panel will be to examine if big data approach is helping the business entities to make more informed timely decisions, which ultimately result in sustainable growth of businesses leading to socio-economic development. The interdisciplinary panel and its outcomes will provide timely and significant input to the academic literature related to accounting, finance, investment, banking, innovation, strategic management, sustainable entrepreneurship, economic development and other disciplines. In addition, the panel will contribute to the public debate related to challenges in big data in business.

Special Session

ICICT 2024 solicits proposals for special sessions within the technical scope of the conference. Special sessions supplement the regular program of the conference and provide a sample of the state-of-the-art research in both academia and industry in special, novel, challenging, and emerging topics.

Special-session proposals should be submitted by the prospective organizer(s) who will commit to promoting and handling the review process of their special session as Chairs or Co-Chairs of the event. Proposals should include the following information:

Title;
Name(s) of organizer(s);
Email of main contact person;
Brief bio(s) of organizer(s);
Brief description;
Related topics;
Potential participants;
A draft of the CFP (please download and use the template at the link below);
Description of publicity and promotion plan;
Brief report on past editions of the special session, if any, including the number of submitted and accepted papers, the number of attendees, etc.

Papers submitted to special sessions will have to be evaluated and peer-reviewed along the very same criteria of the regular sessions.
